The guru principle lies at the heart of the Vajrayana path, yet it is often misunderstood. Far from being about blind faith, this profound relationship to our teachers and world acts as a powerful mirror, reflecting the innate wakefulness that is our very nature. In this retreat, Khenpo Kunga — having just returned from his most recent three-year retreat — will delve into the three kinds of guru, the sacred role of lineage, and how our connection with our teachers is essential for recognizing our own true nature.

In this retreat open to both new and experienced meditators, Mingyur Rinpoche will teach the Vajrayana method of self-liberation. Drawing on the Dzogchen tradition, he will guide us through the three modes of liberation, showing how destructive emotions and thoughts can liberate themselves when we directly realize their essence. As in the image of a thief entering an empty house, there is nothing to lose and nothing to gain. Each moment can be effortlessly experienced as empty clarity.
